Webhook: the bridge to any tool
Receive contacts from a custom CRM and send events wherever you want, with a secret and a delivery history.
In short
CJM webhooks connect tracking to any tool. Inbound, a custom CRM sends CJM contacts and stages with mappable fields. Outbound, CJM sends an event to an address you choose, with a secret to verify it and a history of deliveries.
What do CJM webhooks do?
They pass data between CJM and the rest of your software, in two directions.
- Inbound: a custom CRM sends CJM contacts and stage changes, with fields you map. CJM links them to the visit and can send conversions back to ads.
- Outbound: CJM sends an event to an address you specify, based on a trigger you choose.
How do I set it up?
- Enter your site and create the project.
- For inbound, copy the CJM webhook address into your CRM and map the fields.
- For outbound, enter the destination address and the trigger. CJM generates a secret to sign requests.
- Check the delivery history to see every send.
Which tools does it work with?
Any tool that can receive or send a webhook. For automations, see Zapier, Make and n8n: they work via webhook, not as official apps. For CRMs with a direct connection, see HubSpot and GoHighLevel, or the CRM integration page.
What does it NOT do?
- It is not a native app for any automation tool.
- It does not hide errors: the delivery history shows what happened.
- It does not replace the consent banner or give legal advice.

Questions about webhooks
Do I need a developer to use webhooks?
To receive or send webhooks you need to be able to enter an address and map fields, often with an automation tool. The no-developer pixel on your site only applies with Google Tag Manager installed: without GTM, with undetected consent or with unusual forms, you need a code change.
How do I verify the webhook comes from CJM?
Every outbound webhook has a secret you can use to verify the request's signature.
Can I see whether a delivery succeeded?
Yes, CJM keeps the delivery history of outbound webhooks.
What happens to personal data?
Only the fields you choose to send are passed. This is not legal advice: the legal basis for processing and the privacy notice remain with you.
