GA4: your site's events from the server too

CJM sends events to GA4 with the Measurement Protocol, using a shared event ID. Server tracking only.

In short

The CJM GA4 integration sends your site's events to Google Analytics 4 from the server, using the Measurement Protocol and the same event ID as the browser, so the same action is not counted twice. GA4 gets server tracking only: offline conversions do not go through here.

What does the GA4 integration do?

It sends your site's events to Google Analytics 4 from the server, using the Measurement Protocol. Server-side tracking starts from a CJX™ Pixel event and sends it to GA4 with the same event ID the browser uses. That way GA4 counts the action once, and CJM can check what was sent.

How do I connect it?

  1. Enter your site and connect the project's GA4 property.
  2. With Google Tag Manager installed, publish the pixel in one click.
  3. Events go out from the browser and the server with the same event ID.
  4. Banner consent decides what can be sent: see Consent Mode v2.

What does it NOT do?

  • It does not send offline conversions: for those there are Meta Ads and Google Ads.
  • It does not replace GA4: CJM is not an analytics tool in its place.
  • It does not give legal advice on consent.

Questions about GA4

Does CJM send offline conversions to GA4?

No. For GA4 there is only server tracking of your site's events. Offline conversions from the CRM go to Meta and Google Ads.

Do I need a developer?

Not with Google Tag Manager installed: the pixel goes into the container in one click. Without GTM, with undetected consent or with unusual forms, you need a code change.

Are events counted twice?

No. Browser and server use the same event ID, and CJM keeps a check on the events sent to GA4 to avoid duplicates.

Does consent matter for GA4?

Yes, sending follows the signals from your banner. This is not legal advice: compliance remains with your banner and your privacy notice.
